About Me!

I am a Charlotte-based artist that first started oil painting in 2016 after taking my first art class in college.

Originally my paintings were more focused on abstract forms from skeletal remains, but in 2019 I had my first trip to Japan and immediately fell in love with the culture.

Many of my paintings are focused on my trips to Japan, where I aim to showcase a foreigner’s perspective on day-to-day experiences for residents.

College

I started my art journey by painting abstract landscapes using animal bones from my archaeology professor’s lab. I found that I enjoy working large-scale for my oil paintings, with my largest size being around 5’ x 6’!

2019-2021

When the world shut down in 2020, I needed to find a way to keep painting. I tried using oils but the fumes were too much for my tiny apartment, so I did some research and learned about gouache paints. I first started off with jelly gouache and eventually ended up enjoying Turner Acryl Gouache and Holbein Artist Gouache! Most of my paintings during this time were pet portraits.

2022-2023

I moved to a new place that allowed me to start oil painting again. I also started a Youtube channel to show my gouache painting techniques.

2024-2025

I took a break from art for almost a year, but in 2025 I was able to get back into oil painting and focusing on scenes from my trips overseas! My goal for the end of 2025 was to finally start up my art business!!
